Brilliant. Absolutely f&^%$@# brilliant. Look at the shape! Gawd, I am lovin’ it! I’ve been watching this chick and I just can’t get over her — she is getting better and better and BETTER.  Who would have thought?????

Give me a moment will you. I’m about ready to book myself a ticket to see her hairstylist.  See more photos here.

Be rewarded for shopping.

Ever heard of webloyalty?  They’re one of the leading online marketing services companies that provide customized programs to e-commerce, travel and other free-based businesses to help their clients’ increase their revenues.  They do this by offering customers a variety of benefits packages to get the clients’ customer to keep coming back—in other words, customers are rewarded for shopping.  Brilliant, if you ask me.  Have you ever booked an airline flight or hotel room and at the end of the transaction, you’re offered some type of discount or freebie?   Webloyalty is behind those Reservation Rewards discounts.  I am all for rewards and discounts of any kind!

Wake me up before you go-go.

Don’t ask me about the title. I couldn’t think of one. But I loved this song back in the days, didn’t you?

It’s Friday, I’m feeling blah. I hope to finally watch “Enchanted” this weekend. August Rush too! Bet I’ll cry on that one.

It’s freezing (and I love it) but I’m going to finally get out of the house day. I haven’t been out of the house for 4 days. That might sound crazy but I’ve become such a homebody, I could be content just staying at home with my fuzzy socks and warm clothing.

I fly to Ohio in the next couple of days. Not feeling too excited but I am excited to start moving forward with a game plan as to where we’re going to situate ourselves. I love new adventures. I love new highs (and lows). I love the rush of not knowing what lies in store. Maybe we’ll make a mistake by moving to Ohio. Maybe we’ll even end up in Connecticut. Or Kentucky, for that matter. Doesn’t matter — I’m ready for it all.

But.  Is my little family ready for it?

Cheating.

Don’t ask me why I’m talking about this, I just am. My sister stayed home yesterday just to make sure she didn’t miss Tyra Banks’ episode on “Cheating partners.” For one, I hate Tyra Banks and I’m so ashamed I’m even mentioning her name on my blog. Second, you must all know how I feel about cheating, what with the way I talk about men and women power. Bwahahahaha.

If my man cheated on me, I’d cheat right back. In fact, I love what one friend said to me — that not only would she cheat on her man if he was cheating on her, she’d make sure his family saw it (and then she’d leave the guy). Ooooohh, I just love that. Who cares if the guy’s family had nothing to do it — hit ‘em where it hurts, I say. Make damay other people, why not. The more, the merrier. And then pretend like you’re not doing anything wrong at all. LOL.

And yes, I am aware there are the kids to take into consideration. I’m all for leaving the marriage though. What else would there be left between you and your man if you stayed? The world is so big, there’s so much to do out there — why limit yourself to a scumbag? Move forward.

I guess I’m selfish like that. I want to think of myself, I have to think of myself. I’d hate to teach my kids to stay with someone who cheats. And I hope y’all don’t think I’m talking like this because there’s something wrong with my marriage. Granted no marriage is perfect (and whoever tells me theirs is deserves a hard slap back into reality), but I’ll be the first one to tell you right now my husband and I have no intentions of cheating on each other. We’ve already established there’s no other solution but out if one does the other wrong. Plain and simple.

Peace to all my brothers and sisters :D .

On weight loss.

I watched Oprah this afternoon. The guests today were people who’ve lost a lot of weight. No, I’m not talking about a measly 50 pounds here guys. I’m talking more than 400 pounds worth of weight. One lady even lost 530 pounds, would you believe? The highest she tipped the scale was at 703 pounds.  And guys, listen to this: they did it all on their own. Yep, no surgery whatsoever. Just diet and exercise.  This should serve as inspiration to those of you who are looking to lose 10, 20 or even 30 pounds

I want to believe I can do it on my own too. It’s easier said than done, I’ll say that right now. So much so that yes, okay, maybe I won’t ever consider gastric bypass but I will consider talking to a los angeles weight loss doctor about the LAP-BAND System. It’s the only adjustable and completely reversible weight-loss surgery available in the United States today. The fact that’s it reversible says it all for me. I could try it and if it doesn’t work, no worries.

We’ll see.

Call me Giada.

lemonspag2.JPG

This was our dinner this evening

lemonspag.JPG

Up close and personal

It was good. A step above Lucky Me’s Pancit Canton (Chilimansi flavor). Hahhahaha. Really light guys. So light I could consider it diet food hahahaha. Lemony. Yummy. The recipe calls for arugula but we only had spinach on hand. And I didn’t have shallots so I used regular onions. Super easy to make!

Best of all, my sister and hubs loved it. So much that I had to remember to take a photo of it before it was all gone. The whole bowl was filled to the top. That was what was left.

Just sharing (because my sister says my blog is filled with nothing with paid entries. In fact, her exact words were, “Where’s my sister’s life in all this?”).

Note: I realize now the recipe called for linguine — I used spaghetti noodles and it still turned out alright.  DH’s having it for lunch tomorrow.. I’ll bet the flavors will have really intensified by then.

Hoodia.

hoodiawhite.jpg

This is a hoodia plant called Hoodia Gordonii.  Ever heard of it?  Don’t worry, I haven’t either.  It only grows in the wild in South Africa and is supposed to help with weight loss.  Would you believe several news anchors from major news channels have already been sent to South Africa to get a first hand look at this plant?  I’m intrigued.  I didn’t catch the 60 Minutes show that aired their segment on using Hoodia as an appetite suppressant but I will definitely look into this online.
