I promised myself starting July 1st, I’d be back in the gym religiously (I haven’t gone since coming back from San Diego!). I told DH I’d go every single day. I think I’m setting myself up for failure folks. I also have a weigh-in tomorrow night. I can’t say I’ve been eating well as I’ve been skipping a lot of meals lately (somehow I think starving myself is going to help me lose weight, wth man? After all I’ve gone through and learned with this weight-loss journey of mine, you’d think I’d know better, sheesh!). I’ve been obsessed with furniture stores and ended up seeing the most perfect sofa set that would fit the vision I have for my living room. I was really out to see if I could find a table but instead, I kept drooling and stroking the darn couch, I was so sad to leave it. It comes in a sea foam color that I’ve been dreaming about these past few days. Ugh. I also window-shopped for some things to bring to Manila as my mom’s been bugging me about making sure I take advantage of the 6 boxes we’re allowed to bring on the plane. My gad, what does she expect me to bring over there? RICE? Hahahahaha. Wouldn’t be a bad idea though, come to think of it. But still.. 6 boxes. Guess I could finally get those golf balls Eric’s been wanting to give his ex-boss in Manila.
Sigh. I want to be organized this week. I need to. My mind is a mambo jumbo of lists of things that need to be done. It’s already summer yet it doesn’t feel that way. I’m obviously spending too much time on nonsense.

Everyone, say hello to my living room. BOOOORING is Liv’s exact words to describe it. I couldn’t agree more.
So what’s a girl to do? Being that I don’t know how to decorate and I don’t know how to put things together, I’m bugging brilliant Liv to help me with a makeover. I love love love Restoration Hardware so that’s pretty much where we’re going to get our inspiration(s). Master Liv found these awesome pillows after showing her a rug that I liked (squiggly lines, I like to call it).

Definitey want to have blue (I said tiffany blue at first) and cream as my colors. Am going to love how it’ll go well with the crown moulding details. Absolutely love the 1st and 4th pillow design and then our 2nd pillow will have more of a modern twist though I’m not sure if I’m entirely sold on the 2nd (or 3rd) pillow. (I told Liv I wanted a “modern” look when all along, what I was really looking for were “squiggly lines” — what kind of style do you call that anyways?).
Liv wants to completely demolish my Hunter Douglas’ windows but I doubt I am going to budge. Touch everything, just not my Hunter Douglas’ please. But boy oh boy, Hardware Restoration has some yummy curtains, I have to admit. (See, my thing with curtains? They get dusty in time. And if you know me, I’m lazy and it’s bad enough that I’m going to welcome accessories and knick knacks to spruce up my home — that’s some more dusting right there even though I hardly ever dust anyways. So you see, curtains and me? We don’t go together. I have no patience!).
I’m so excited. This all came about because I’m determined to accomplish one home goal this summer (this has been my goal since we moved in but I just don’t know how to do it, I swear. I walk into a home store and I get dizzy because I don’t even know where the hell to start). Our family room needs major help but I figured since people walk into the living room before they can get to any other part of our home, the living room would be the best place to start. First impressions and all that, ya know?
This’ll be interesting. I hope I follow through with this project. Knowing me, I’ll start it but never finish it. Let’s hope not. I’ve got Liv to kick my butt into gear.

We’re looking to rent a car while we’re in Manila this August. I’ve been searching online for the best rates and deals for some time now. DH’s coworker recently recommended a site to me that she came across when she was looking for car hire in France. Apparently, that website isn’t only for France rentals but they even rent out cars in the Philippines. And what’s neat is that I’m not limited to just picking up at the airport – I can pick up the car at several locations in Manila as well as hotel locations located throughout the metropolis. Their rates are excellent and I have to say they’re cheaper than some of the other rental sites I’ve looked at. I especially love that they have a testimonials tab that shows comments from other customers to vouch for their reliability. That’s really important to me, especially since I would have never stumbled upon Argus if DH’s coworker hadn’t mentioned it to me in the first place. Arguscarhire.com services are available in every country you can think of – check them out or recommend them to any of your friends who might be looking for car rentals during their travels abroad. I just may have found the best deal.

My pink peonies!
Our digital camera busted out on us after we got back from San Diego (great timing! I would have been pissed if I wasn’t able to capture photos of O’s wedding!) so I can’t show you my peonies from Trader Joe’s. We walked in to do groceries yesterday and right there, just as you walk into the door, were peonies for only $6.99!! I know nothing about flowers or prices (I remember wanting peonies for our wedding back in January 2007 and they were unavailable) but I think this is quite a steal. There were some fuschia colored peonies as well as some cream ones but I got the pink colored peonies. I don’t know how to care for these suckers but I’m assuming all it needs is water. They’re just about to fully bloom and I’m so excited! They’re soooo fluffy hahahahaha. If I’m in the area, I just might go and grab some more and stick them in vases all over the house. Love love love my peonies. But I really wonder if $6.99 is a steal or not?

I’ve stopped tracking my food. I’ve stopped going to the gym (3rd week now!). I’m starting to drink diet soda more often. I never measure my rice intake. The list goes on.
That’s why, although I’m dreading tonight’s weigh-in, going to my meetings is so important for me. I’m always so close to quitting and just calling it a day (remember I said this in a post a few days ago?) but after a meeting, I feel, once again, that nothing is impossible and if I can get to 30 pounds, I sure as hell can lose another 30 (Btw? I gained 1.8 pounds last week!). Then the next day comes and I dread the gym like you won’t believe (the gym’s an awesome place though! I always, always feel great after walking out so what gives?!).
I need motivation. I need inspiration. I need lipovox.
Hahahahahaha *not*. Who knows….

I’m talking about health insurance. I just blogged about my back pain in my other blog and how I’m going to see the doctor in a few days if the feeling doesn’t subside. I’ve been feeling some back pain for a few weeks now yet I haven’t gone to the doctor yet. It’s not that I don’t have health insurance, I do. I’m just not the type to see the doctor much, I guess. But it shouldn’t be that way considering our family history and of course, my weight. The last time I saw a doctor for a complete check up was 2 years ago (my friend O found this so shocking because anything odd she feels going on with her body, she’s on the phone and asking to see the doctor the very next day — wow! I should be more like her, especially since I’m not getting any younger). Oh what the heck, I’m going to stop procrastinating already and finally make that appointment on Monday to get a complete check up. Maybe the doctor can explain what’s going on with my back too.

Where’ve I been? Planning another family trip this August. Guess where we’re going? No, not to laughlin hotels. We’re going to Boracay! Wooohooo! In August. During rainy season. Nice, eh? But so what. We’ll have fun. I’ll be with my in-laws and Erynne will get the chance to be and play with her 2 cousins. I’ve been planning this trip for a good week now and I’ve finally decided on Two Seasons. I know being low season, there are probably some deals to be had on the island. But eh. This girl can’t do the native type hut bungalows. I want super duper modern (Eric would probably kill me if I booked several rooms at Discovery Shores!) and Two Seasons fit the bill. We’ll have pool access for the kids (and me!), yayyy!
I couldn’t resist the zero fares from Cebu Pacific. And I’ve been going back and forth on the whole Caticlan/Kalibo route and which to take, it’s already driving me crazy. Being scared of small planes, we’re going to do the Kalibo route. Not just for my sake, but the little ones as well. Erynne’s pretty sensitive to flying (or at least, I think she is because she likes to will herself to fall asleep as soon as possible). I’ve looked at every airline that flies into both Caticlan and Kalibo — Cebu Pacific really has the best rates. They may have some stories behind them but at this point, all I want to do is just pray that everything goes well. Hahahahaha. So I’m kuripot, bite me!
And speaking of pray, help me out and let’s pray for good weather while we’re there, yeah? I can’t get my Shamu on otherwise hahahaha.
