And they say stay-at-home-moms have it so good.

First, it was waking up at 3am this morning to Erynne’s coughing fit and just knowing she was going to vomit out all that phlegm swirling in her chest.  That took about an hour of waiting and stalling in the kitchen so we wouldn’t have an accident in bed.  Gave her some cough medicine and honey (yah, I know.  I did say she was going to vomit, I could have at least waited…) and within some time, out came the gooey stuff.  Had to stay up and watch some TV with the little girl for fear that maybe the vomitting wasn’t over yet (well, that and allow the hubby to get his sleep).  Finally got to bed around 430am.

Second, in wanting just “5 more minutes of sleep” this morning (it’s 8am by now), I hear Erynne spraying something in the bathroom.  LYSOL!  That got me out of bed in no time and thoughts of fumes and cancer started running through my head (LOL!). I was pissy hysterical at this point because I wasn’t sure if she had gotten some in her mouth.  Even after removing her pj’s, she still smelled of Lysol so I had no choice but give her a bath so early in the cold morning.  Truly, I was no happy camper.  (And I’m sure Erynne wasn’t either in her condition).

Third, I do a load of Erynne’s laundry after her bath and what do you know?  The laundry sink where the water goes after the cycle spins GETS CLOGGED!  End result?  Garage floor is all soaking wet on one side.  Best part?  It’s the side with all our junk and boxes of who knows what.  Just &^%$#@! great.  Anyone need a strangle?

Fourth, our Vegas car rental rate has now shot up $100 because I’ve been so absorbed with Christmas shopping these past few days that I totally forgot to book and confirm our reservation on Monday.  Bastards!

Sigh.  And did I tell you it’s not even noon yet?

This year.

Your Christmas Sprit Level: 15%

Your Christmas spirit is there, but it’s very faint.
If you celebrate Christmas at all, it’s only when you truly want to.

It’s okay if you’re not really into the whole Christmas thing. Don’t worry about not having enough spirit.
Pushing yourself to do more will only turn you into a Grinch!

Do You Have the Christmas Spirit?

Hubby’s wishlist.

I seriously thought hubby didn’t have any major wants this Christmas because the way I see it, he has everything he wants already (or so I thought hahaha!).  Look what he gave me when I asked him for a wishlist:

-new Wii game

-Guitar hero

-external hard drive for all our files

-roadbike

-discount home theater seating

-new WordPress domain

-a Gibson guitar

-Navigon GPS

Well.  Golly gee whiz.  Looks like air tools won’t work afterall.  LMAO!

Blame it on the cold.

Erynne has a bit of a cough.  I’m a little bummed — I don’t want her to be sick this Christmas :( .  She’s going to be able to see all her cousins in Vegas and I would hate for her to be feeling less than perfect.  No fever or runny nose — yet.

My parents are leaving for Vegas this week so I really have to make sure I use my time wisely this week and get all my errands done (one of which reminds me, making a run to Home Depot to see if they have industrial clamps).  I hope Erynne doesn’t miss school this week.  She had a hissy fit the other day because she only attends school twice a week and the other children made Christmas trees on Monday — by Wednesday, they decorated the big Christmas tree with the trees they made on Monday.  Well, you can guess Erynne didn’t have one and when we got home, she was in such a cranky mood as she insisted I completely forgot about bringing her to school on Monday.  Almost broke my heart.  End result?  We’re going to enroll her three times a week come January.

I hope she doesn’t get sick this week!

Because I believe in this.

calendar1.JPG

It was correct in predicting Erynne’s gender so I am a believer in Chinese calendars.  If you backtrack, you’ll know my age and well, since we might not have hit the jackpot this month, we have next month to ensure it’s a boy.  But if you ask me, I wouldn’t mind having another girl.  OR TWINS!  Gad, that would be so winner.

GAME ON! :D

Few days left before December 31, 2008.

us.JPG

Okay, there’s a reason why this photo is small.  We’re too fat, LOL!  Can anyone say Lipovox reviews?

So much for reaching my 45-pound mark a month ago — yep, I’ve gained some of it back (I’m barely at my 42-pound mark!).  I know I could have at least lost another 5 pounds and I could certainly come up with excuses as to why it didn’t happen but eh.  What’s important is that 42 pounds is STILL 42 pounds no matter how obese I still am.  I am better off today than I was 42 pounds ago.

Seeing what I’ve accomplished this year with my weight, you have to know 2009 can only be better for me.  I refuse to think I’m going to go backwards.  This.cannot.happen.  Because I’m worth it, damnit!  Gap jeans, I’m coming for you!

I chopped her hair.

Her latest picture, as of last Sunday.  She thinks this is THE Santa Claus of all time.  She asks me everyday when Santa is coming (because I tell her he comes when everyone’s asleep and that if we left him cookies by the tree, he’d be sure to visit us every night).

The other night, after her shower, I combed her hair so that it looked really short (like a boy’s cut).  She took one look at herself and said, “Eeeeewww, I look like a boy.”  Good thing I didn’t chop it off like Victoria Beckham’s!

Our tree.

tree.JPG

Thank goodness for this picture.  I was about to take a photo of our tree when the Canon would not function.  It wouldn’t turn on period.  I thought for sure it was busted and that’s why God meant for us to win a new cam.  Heeeeee, turns out the battery just died without me knowing and all I had to do was recharge it.  LOL.

Anyways, just sharing our tree.  A few more days left until Christmas (and another week before our Vegas vacations starts!) — let’s hope I can be productive this week.

Deserving.

Of an update, that is.  Yep, this blog.  I continue to get visits from God knows where and for this, I thank you.  Really.  Regardless of whether tags are helping my numbers or not, I have to believe there are real visits to my blog and I’m so ashamed that there is nothing for you to read up on because I’ve been way too absorbed and lazy to come up with a few good lines to tickle your ribs.

What have I been busy with?  Well, for one, we are *officially* trying for baby #2 (yes, even if I haven’t hit my 50-pound mark.  Sorry Aggie, we can’t wait anymore, LMAO!).  As with any TTC (trying to conceive couple), once you start feeling symptoms, your mind starts playing tricks with you so that you want so much to believe your pregnant.  Sadly, however, I don’t think this is our month.  Supposedly, at our age (the hubby and I), it would take us about 9 cycles before we hit the jackpot.  So fine.  Consider this our 1st month and we have at least 8 more months to go.  Hahahaha.  Which is just as well because God knows I still have a lot of weight to lose.  The monthly visit is due this week.  Stay tuned.

Christmas is just around the corner and unfortunately, I haven’t been much into the whole Christmas vibe.  We even vowed we’d put up Christmas light fixtures this year but DH only got halfway done when I asked him to take them down.  I haven’t even started the whole Christmas card thing and I doubt I will.  I’m just feeling so gosh darned LAZY!  My Christmas shopping list is yet to be completed and just thinking about it makes me want to just surrender and wish it was already a new year with hotter weather.  I cannot stand this cold weather at all.  And note this is coming from a girl who was made, born, and raised in Alaska since birth.  Totally crazy.  And we don’t even have snow here and I’m sooooooo cold.

My poor bebe.  At least we have the Christmas tree up (which my mom had to decorate for me because it’d been up already for several days and I still hadn’t done anything with it).  Hay caramba.

And I’m gaining weight if you really want to know.  I’m really trying so hard this week to track my foods and to really be disciplined.  But one word:  ITISSOHARD!

Dinner time.  You know what that means.  MORE FOOD!

We got lucky this year.

Look what we walked away with this evening at hubby’s Christmas party:

camera.JPG

And yes, notice I’m using the term “we.”  It is rightfully mine as it is hubby’s.  Hahaha.  And to think I didn’t really care one way or the other if we went or not but DH really insisted that we go — he didn’t win anything at last year’s party so he really wanted to win something this year.  And yeyyyy, this was a great surprise.  (We didn’t even have a hunch as to what was inside the box when Erynne went up and got our prize.  We were going to open it at home but then we saw other people who had won and in their boxes were digital camera, camcorders, even iPod nanos!  And get this — Erynne was the one who picked out DH’s lucky raffle number.  Totally meant to be, eh?).

Much as I love our Canon powershot (only a few months old!), I think I’m going to love this new camera as well.
