I was never the decorate-y type of person when it comes to homes/apartments. I have always been the blah type of person. Probably because the less stuff inside of my apartment or home, the better. You already know I despise junk lying around (unfortunately, having to live with a toddler and A MAN, my standards have gone way down. I am tired of constantly nagging and especially with this pregnancy, I’m trying to be as chill as I can so those bills that are piling on the dining table? Bring it baby!). But I think the even bigger issue I seem to have with this “less is more” notion is that I simply do not know how to decorate or piece things together. Or maybe because I don’t take that adage to heart that your home is a reflection of who you are. Because surely, if my home was a reflection of who I was, I’d probably have purple walls and maybe I’d even paint my windows green. My bathroom would probably be stark white and vintage-y while my kitchen would be an open food court. And that contemporary furniture stuff? Is Pottery Barn considered contemporary furniture? See, I don’t even know the proper terms when it comes to decorating.
Wishful thinking but if anyone from HGTV is reading this blog, care to help?
