Too much HGTV.

My dad flew back to Alaska yesterday. Dropped him off at the airport but before I did, I purposely turned on the car, turned on the a/c and literally just sat there cooling myself off. It.felt.good! We don’t have a/c in our home simply because we don’t really need it, what with the bay practically right behind us. But with the current weather now, the bay does jack for us! If there is a breeze, it’s a crazy hot breeze. Ugh, it’s disgusting, period (and sleeping last night? O-V-E-N). Anyways, as I was sitting there in the car, I noticed the home right across from my mom’s home which is completely identical to hers. They installed the exterior shutters I’ve been harassing my mom to get for her own home! I’m so jealous! I can’t tell you how long I’ve been harassing my mom to get herself some exterior shutters (months now!). It goes in one ear and out the other. I’ve also been telling her we need to re-paint her home with a nice neutral beige color with white trim and then install navy or black exterior shutters. It’d look so fabulous! I hope the neighbors don’t steal my idea, LOL.
