An update.
Do you guys create titles before you blog your entry or do you type first and go back and put a title when you realize what the jist of your entry is?
How is everyone? There are tags I’d like to answer–and I will get to them–so please don’t think I’ve ignored you. I know it seems I’m pretty good at ignoring people but trust me, I am lurking and reading and hopping even when you think I’m not. I’m a born tsismosa, what can I say? Meeya reminded me about this a few days – there are comments that I haven’t even responded to from who knows when. I really appreciate your visits (I’ve hit over 20,000–thank you!) and hope that you will continue to visit me in spite of me “slacking off” (hello Jane!). I really enjoy all this blogging stuff and I really do want to share so much but I just get sooooooo bogged down when I think about what I want to blog and I get tired just thinking about it. End result? No blogging! It’s amazing how many of you have the energy to keep more than one blog (one of you as much as 7 or 8 blogs! Gaaaaaazz!) whereas I can’t even keep up with this one. But surprise, surprise: I have another blog in the making. I won’t share it just yet as there’s obviously nothing on it. It’ll be my weight-loss blog of sorts.
Fall is officially upon us so I think my blog is due for a new makeover. New energy. I need change.
And speaking of change, boy, I can definitely feel the difference in life these days. I don’t know anything about Wall Street and all that funky stuff that’s happening right now but all I hear on TV is how we need to start pinching our pennies. Ain’t that the truth. It so happened that I took a good hard look at our finances less than a month ago and faced the truth: we were happily living beyond our means. That’s all changed now (we’re on a roll!) and I can’t tell you how much savings can be had by changing a few habits here and there. And I had the shock of my life at the grocery store this weekend when one lady had racked up close to $57 in groceries only for it to go down to a mere $16.54 because she had 3 or so coupons with her! OH MY GOD. My eyes were ready to pop out of my head. I remember wanting to chase her down just so I could ask her what her magic was. You can bet, since then, I’ve personally saved all newspaper clippings with all them grocery sales happening around the area. If you know me, you’d be shocked out of your pants. My family likes to refer to me as, “one day millionaire, next day broke.” Heh! How you like me now, I say.
And it’s great that we’re on a ‘financial plan’ (as I like to call it) as you do remember me talking about Ohio, right? It’s still a part of our master plan but now, we’re actually doing something towards that goal (read: we’re being responsible a-dults). We hope to be there in more or less than a year if everything goes as planned.
And how can I forget to share I’ve lost over 40 pounds at last! 40.6 pounds to be exact. I was really hoping to hit 43 pounds but I realize now, what was I thinking? That would be unhealthy weight-loss (because afterall, I already lost 4.6 pounds the week before in just one week). A few more pounds to go (Jane and Aggie, we’re almost there!) and I’ll have a reason to possibly start scouting for baby bedding. Stay tuned!
Which reminds me, I have to finally make that doctor’s appointment not only for myself but for the family. Erynne’s up for vaccinations next month and hubby needs to get a complete check-up. I absolutely dread going to the doctor’s. Who am I to talk? I don’t even have a doctor.

When I saw this, I said to myself, “Now if only we had this in the Philippines!” So you should REALLY take advantage of this and thank your lucky stars that this is available to you.
[...] post got me thinking. How come companies in the Philippines don’t offer coupons? Watch the [...]
lord knows it’s harder to come up with a title than it is to create an entire post. anyway, i can feel the penny pinching too. i now hold my breath every time we go grocery-shopping, everything’s gone up!
I love long updates! Congratulations on your weight loss, you rock! As for finances, thank you for posting something about this because we too have been living beyond our means. (I blame online earnings for that). Time to do something about it! Sigh.
Goodluck on the coupons (I wish we have those here, well we have but you’ll wonder if the products are expired LOL) and yes, I write titles first. But most of the time I change it because it doesn’t fit the post anymore hee hee. Your title is perfect and not at all boring, don’t worry (An Update) BWAHAHAHA.
I missed you Jen! Oh I know you asked before but we’ve decided to go to White House since my sis-in-law and bro-in-law are coming with us with their little tot.
